FIA Busts International Human Trafficking Ring in Karachi, 32 Women Rescued

KARACHI – In a major crackdown against human trafficking, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Cell conducted raids on hotels in the Saddar area, rescuing 32 women intended to be smuggled to Dubai.

The Operation

The FIA successfully exposed an international trafficking network during the targeted raids. According to Deputy Director Muhammad Ajmal, the operation led to the arrest of four suspects, including a woman who played a key role in the gang’s operations.

Modus Operandi

The investigation revealed a systematic exploitation process where the female suspect was responsible for luring women from various parts of Pakistan with the false promise of legitimate employment abroad. Once recruited, the women were taken to Dubai on tourist visas and forced into dancing at night clubs and coerced into other immoral activities upon arrival.

The FIA has registered cases against the apprehended individuals and is currently conducting further interrogations. Deputy Director Ajmal stated that they are expanding the scope of the investigation to nab other members of this international network and no one involved in this heinous trade will be spared. The 32 rescued women, hailing from different regions across the country, are currently under the protection of the authorities as the legal process moves forward.
