Death Toll Rises to 11 in Karachi Consulate Shooting as Injured Youth Succumbs

KARACHI: The death toll from the violent incident outside the U.S. Consulate in Karachi has risen to 11, after another young man succumbed to his injuries during treatment, hospital sources confirmed on Tuesday.

The victim, who had been in critical condition since the clashes on Sunday, passed away at a local medical facility today. His death marks the latest fatality in a series of violent protests that erupted following the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Key Statistics and Context: As of March 3, 2026, the total number of fatalities has reached 11. The incident took place on Mai Kolachi Road, outside the U.S. Consulate, when protesters clashed with law enforcement after attempting to breach the security perimeter.

According to ARY News, several other injured individuals remain under medical care in various hospitals across the city, with some still reported to be in unstable condition. Security around the consulate and the city’s diplomatic zone remains on high alert following the incident.
