Sindh Announces Academic Calendar 2026-27: Summer Vacations and Exam Schedules Confirmed

KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially approved the academic calendar for the session 2026-27, providing a comprehensive timeline for the upcoming school year, examination periods, and seasonal holidays. This decision was finalized during a high-level meeting of the Steering Committee chaired by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah. According to the approved schedule, the summer vacations across the province will be observed from June 1 to July 31, 2026, while the winter break is set for December 21 to December 31, 2026.

The new academic session is scheduled to commence on April 1, 2026. For students in Grade 9 and below, the admission process will be conducted between March 1 and March 31, 2026. Similarly, Grade 11 admissions will begin on June 1 and continue until the last week of July under the Centralized Admission Policy. As per the provincial policy, students from Grades 1 to 3 will be promoted to the next class without formal examinations, while students from Grades 4 to 8 will appear for their exams between March 1 and March 15, 2026.

The examination schedule for secondary and higher secondary levels has also been clarified. Exams for Grade 9 and 10 are set to take place from March 30 to April 15, 2026, with results expected on June 1 for Grade 10 and June 15 for Grade 9. For Grade 11 and 12, examinations will be held from April 15 to April 30, 2026. The results for Grade 12 will be announced on June 15, followed by the Grade 11 results on July 1, 2026.
