KARACHI: A theft attempt at the city’s well-known Gul Plaza was foiled after police intervention forced the suspects to abandon the stolen goods and flee the scene. According to details, the incident was captured on video by a citizen using a mobile phone. The footage shows the suspects attempting to steal a burnt air conditioner (AC) outdoor unit from the Gul Plaza building.
As the culprits were trying to escape through the street with the stolen item, a team from the Nabi Bux Police Station arrived at the spot. Upon seeing the police mobile, the suspects panicked, dropped the AC unit in the street, and managed to escape.
Following the incident, the police officials have contacted the Gul Plaza Traders’ Association. They have formally advised the association to increase the number of private security guards at the building and enhance surveillance to prevent future criminal activities in the area. Police are currently reviewing the citizen’s mobile footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.
