Afghan Taliban Regime Displaying Ingratitude: Sharjeel Inam Memon

KARACHI – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has lashed out at the Afghan Taliban regime, accusing them of “sheer ingratitude” and acting as a proxy for hostile interests against Pakistan. Speaking to the media in Karachi, the minister expressed unwavering support for Pakistan’s armed forces and security agencies, emphasizing that the nation stands united behind its defenders in the face of cross-border provocations.

Memon stated that the Afghan Taliban regime is destined for failure. He warned that Pakistan would deliver a response so decisive that the regime would not dare to look toward the country with “ill intentions” again. He noted that while Pakistan is a peace-loving nation that has never initiated aggression, its forces have consistently provided a “befitting response” to any threat.

In a significant diplomatic charge, the minister alleged that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan is currently operating as a proxy for India to destabilize Pakistan. He reminded the regime of Pakistan’s decades-long hospitality toward Afghan refugees and its commitment to brotherly ties—efforts he says have been ignored by the current leadership in Kabul.

“Pakistan has always sought to resolve issues through dialogue and diplomacy. However, appropriate and immediate action will be taken against any form of external aggression,” Memon asserted.

The minister’s remarks come amid reports of heightened tensions along the border and confirmed strikes in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, signaling a stern shift in Pakistan’s regional policy.
