KARACHI – The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has intensified its demand for the removal of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, accusing the Governor House of becoming a hub for “prejudiced” and “dangerous” ethnic politics. Senior provincial ministers Saeed Ghani and Sharjeel Inam Memon leveled serious allegations against the conduct of federal ministers and the MQM-P leadership during recent events at the Governor House.
Saeed Ghani stated that the current activities at the Governor House are not only detrimental to Sindh but also pose a threat to the Federation. He accused federal ministers of using the premises to incite the public and expressed grave concern over the resurgence of ethnic politics. Ghani urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to fulfill his promise and appoint a new governor.
Sharjeel Inam Memon echoed these sentiments, asserting that constitutional institutions are not meant for biased and prejudiced speeches. He warned that Karachi, having suffered from such environments in the past, cannot afford further instability. Memon also highlighted internal rifts within the MQM-P, pointing out the irony of members seeking protection against their own colleagues and requiring sergeants for safety. The PPP leadership reiterated that “Sindh was one, is one, and will remain one,” vowing to resist any attempts to divide the province.
