KARACHI: The city is currently experiencing wind speeds significantly higher than usual, with gusts clocked between 30 to 35 km/h, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). These northeasterly winds are bringing exceptionally dry air into the metropolis, causing humidity levels to drop to a range of 25% to 35%.
Regarding the temperature, the minimum recorded last night was 20°C. For the next 24 hours, the PMD predicts that dry weather will persist across the city, with the maximum temperature likely to hover between 30°C and 32°C. Residents may also encounter dusty conditions due to the sustained wind velocity.
Health experts often recommend staying hydrated and using moisturizers during such dry spells to protect the skin and respiratory tract from the sudden drop in humidity.
