KARACHI: A fresh western weather system, set to bring rain across the plains and snow to the northern peaks, is currently traversing the country. According to the Early Warning Center of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), this wave is presently impacting the western regions and is expected to influence Sindh’s coastal belt.
Impact on Karachi and Sindh Coastal Belt: Under the influence of this system, light rain or drizzle is likely along the Sindh coast. Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy today with high chances of scattered drizzle. On Tuesday, the city will likely face overcast conditions, with thick fog expected to blanket the area during the early morning hours.
Temperature and Wind Forecast: Meteorologists predict that over the next 48 hours, Karachi’s temperature will fluctuate between a minimum of 17°C and a maximum of 30°C. Residents can expect shifting wind patterns, alternating between northeasterly gusts and southwesterly sea breezes. While the coast remains cloudy, the rest of the province will experience dry weather with chilly nights.
