KARACHI – A formal case has been registered following a massive robbery in the Faran Society area of Bahadurabad, where armed men looted cash and gold worth approximately Rs 130 million.
The Incident
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed at the Bahadurabad Police Station, the complainant, Syed Maaz Ali, stated that the robbery occurred shortly after he withdrew valuables from a bank locker located on Sharea Faisal.
The victim, who works in marketing and research, was transporting 200 tolas of gold jewelry and $100,000 USD in his vehicle.
The Modus Operandi
The victim reported that as he reached his residence in Faran Society and entered the parking area through the automatic gate, four unidentified suspects on two motorcycles intercepted him.
- Suspects: Three men wearing pent-shirts entered the premises while one remained outside to keep watch.
- The Theft: At gunpoint, the suspects snatched the gold and foreign currency before fleeing the scene.
Current Status of Investigation
The complainant has stated that he can identify the suspects if presented before him. While the police have initiated raids to apprehend the culprits, authorities confirmed that there has been no major breakthrough in the investigation so far.
