KARACHI: In a significant move toward digital governance, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has expanded its online Union Council (UC) registration services to several more districts across Sindh, including Karachi South.
The New Expansion
According to NADRA officials, citizens can now report vital life events through the Pak ID mobile app. This expansion covers Karachi South, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sujawal, Umerkot, Shikarpur, and Jacobabad.
Existing Coverage
This facility was already operational in 20 districts of Sindh, including Karachi East, Karachi Central, Karachi West, Ghotki, Dadu, Sanghar, Naushahro Feroze, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jamshoro, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Tando Allahyar.
Services Offered
Through the Pak ID App, residents can now apply for the online registration of Birth, Death, Marriage, and Divorce certificates. Citizens are required to complete the necessary documentation and submit their application via the app to receive their certificates at home.
Future Outlook
While the service is already fully functional across all districts of Punjab and in Quetta, NADRA officials stated that work is underway to launch this digital facility across the rest of Pakistan soon.
