KARACHI: Karachi administration has sealed 200 shops in the Saddar area due to a failure to comply with mandatory fire safety regulations. According to details, Deputy Commissioner South, Javed Nabi Khoso, submitted an official compliance report to Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hasan Naqvi, outlining the ongoing crackdown against safety law violations across the district. The operation specifically targeted commercial plazas, including the ground-floor shops of Bilal Center and Kohinoor Center in Saddar, which were found operating in hazardous conditions and violating established safety protocols. Following this action, Commissioner Karachi has issued strict instructions to all Deputy Commissioners to ensure the uncompromising enforcement of fire safety laws throughout the city to prevent potential disasters.
