KARACHI: In an ongoing crackdown against undocumented foreign nationals, Karachi Police have detained 38 illegal Afghan residents during targeted operations across various parts of the city and transferred them to a designated transit camp. The law enforcement action was carried out across multiple jurisdictions, beginning with the District South Police, who raided several locations and apprehended 20 individuals. Concurrently, the SITE Superhighway Industrial Area Police, led by DSP Sohrab Goth Aurangzeb Khattak, detained another 15 illegal residents, while the Malir Cantt Police took 3 undocumented Afghan nationals into custody. Following the completion of necessary legal formalities, all 38 detainees were safely moved to the Afghan camp, where relevant authorities will oversee the final legal processing to ensure their deportation back to their homeland.
