KARACHI – Minister of State and Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), Bilal Bin Saqib, has issued a significant briefing for the country’s youth and freelancers, asserting that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a future concept but a current challenge to the global $1.5 trillion freelance economy.
In a detailed statement shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Saqib revealed that he has successfully developed a working model comprising a team of AI Virtual Agents.
The AI Workforce Model
According to the Minister, this virtual team is designed to function autonomously with roles typically held by humans. The team structure includes an AI CEO, an AI Engineer, and an AI Designer. These agents communicate with each other, distribute tasks, and identify problems without constant human intervention. The system is also programmed to request additional resources or “team members” as the scope of work increases, while costs and success rates are monitored in real-time to ensure maximum efficiency.
Human Oversight is Key
Despite the high level of automation, Saqib emphasized that the final decision-making power remains in human hands. He noted that while traditional skills such as research, execution, and coordination are being rapidly automated, human supervision is what will define success. He stressed that in this era, simply studying is not enough; learning to work alongside AI is the only path to success.
The Future of Work
The Minister warned that the global freelance market is facing a massive shift. He predicted that large workforces are becoming obsolete as future corporations will no longer rely on massive headcounts. Instead, companies will operate with a small group of highly skilled human experts overseeing a vast AI workforce. This shift means freelancers must pivot from basic execution to AI management and strategic oversight to remain relevant in a changing technological landscape.
