KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle has successfully conducted a raid in the Malir area, exposing a factory involved in the illegal manufacturing of medicines.
The Operation
Acting on a tip-off, the FIA team raided a facility where counterfeit pharmaceutical activities were being carried out. During the operation, the team discovered a large cache of raw materials, finished illegal medicines, and manufacturing machinery.
Arrest and Legal Action
The factory owner and operator, identified as Faisal Shahid, was apprehended on the spot. Following legal protocols, the recovered items were seized and handed over to the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for further investigation and testing.
Ongoing Investigation
Officials have registered a case and initiated a manhunt to arrest other individuals involved in this heinous trade. The FIA has reiterated its commitment to cracking down on the production of counterfeit drugs that pose a severe threat to public health.
