KARACHI – The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has officially notified a new fee structure for premium and choice vehicle registration numbers, with prices reaching as high as PKR 2 million for the most sought-after digits.
According to the official notification, vehicle owners who wish to obtain personalized or “choice” numbers can now do so by paying the newly approved rates. The move aims to streamline the issuance of premium plates while generating significant revenue for the provincial treasury.
The Price Breakdown:
Premier Numbers (786, 110): PKR 2,000,000 (20 Lakh), Triple Identical Digits (111 to 999): PKR 1,000,000 (10 Lakh), Centennial Series (100 to 900): PKR 500,000 (5 Lakh), Single Digits (001 to 009): PKR 500,000 (5 Lakh), Other Choice Numbers: PKR 300,000 (3 Lakh)
The department stated that these fees are applicable immediately for owners looking to distinguish their vehicles with these specific alphanumeric combinations. This tiered pricing ensures that high-demand numbers are allocated through a transparent, fixed-fee process.
