NADRA Updates: No More Photocopies Required for Citizen Services

KARACHI – In a significant move to streamline public services, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that citizens are no longer required to bring or submit photocopies of documents when visiting NADRA centers. The authority issued new guidelines aimed at simplifying the registration process and reducing unnecessary paperwork for the public.

Under the new policy, documents issued by Union Councils, such as Birth Certificates or Marriage Certificates, do not require physical copies. If a document has a valid Civil Registration Management System (CRMS) number, NADRA can verify the record directly through its centralized digital database. This initiative is designed to make the process faster, more transparent, and eco-friendly by eliminating redundant documentation.

NADRA officials have urged the public to rely on authentic information and avoid carrying unnecessary paper bundles to the centers. The authority reaffirmed that providing seamless and hassle-free services remains its top priority. Citizens are encouraged to follow these official instructions to ensure their applications are processed smoothly without delays.
