KARACHI – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed two-hour inspection of Jinnah International Airport late Saturday night to review the immigration and departure processes for international travelers. During his visit, the Minister personally scrutinized the travel documents of passengers bound for Saudi Arabia and emphasized that while the government remains committed to facilitating legitimate travelers, there will be no compromise on national prestige.
Interior Minister Naqvi personally verified the credentials of several passengers with FIA officials and interacted with travelers to inquire about their employment details and the purpose of their visit. He issued a stern warning against professional beggars traveling abroad under the guise of pilgrims or workers, stating that the departure of such individuals brings a bad name to Pakistan and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
During the inspection, the Minister lauded ASI Amir Lashari for his diligence after the officer offloaded three individuals attempting to travel with incomplete and unverified documentation. Naqvi described such dutiful employees as assets to the nation and clarified that no passenger with valid and verified documents has been or will be barred from traveling. “Pakistan’s honor is our top priority,” Naqvi concluded, adding that the strict verification process is essential to ensure that only genuine travelers represent the country abroad.
