KARACHI: Separate fire incidents broke out in different parts of the city on Wednesday, resulting in minor injuries to a woman and significant property damage.
Residential Flat Fire (Gulshan-e-Iqbal) A fire erupted in a residential flat located in Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 3. Fire department personnel arrived at the scene promptly and managed to extinguish the flames. According to the police, a female resident identified as Sobia sustained minor injuries during the incident. She was provided with immediate assistance.
Slum Area Fire (New Karachi) In a separate incident, a blaze broke out in a cluster of huts (shanties) in Yaru Goth, New Karachi. A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 confirmed that their teams responded to the emergency and successfully controlled the fire. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported from this location.
The cause of the fires in both incidents is currently being investigated.
