KARACHI: The intense cold wave driven by icy winds from Balochistan has finally subsided in the provincial capital, bringing a gradual relief to citizens as temperatures begin to rise. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city’s weather pattern is shifting. Today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 12.8°C, and for the next 24 hours, the mercury is expected to remain between 11°C and 13°C.
Regarding daytime conditions, yesterday’s maximum temperature reached 23°C, but today is expected to be warmer with temperatures likely to range between 24°C and 26°C. Winds are currently blowing from the Northwest and Southwest at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, while humidity levels are expected to fluctuate between 30% and 70% over the next 24 hours.
With the Balochistan winds halting, the city is transitioning out of the extreme chilly spell. Residents can expect clearer skies and a steady increase in daytime temperatures, making the afternoons feel significantly milder compared to the previous week.
