KARACHI: A robbery attempt fueled by drug addiction turned fatal on Tuesday morning near Landi Kotal Chowrangi, North Nazimabad. A citizen’s retaliatory fire left one alleged robber dead, while his female accomplice was apprehended by police as she attempted to flee the scene.
The Incident
According to SHO Taimuria, Shahid Ali Baloch, the incident occurred when a citizen, identified as Moeed Khan, stopped his car near the busy intersection to buy fruit. While he was parked, a man and a woman on a motorcycle approached him. At gunpoint, the duo snatched cash, a mobile phone, and a bag from Khan.
As the suspects attempted to speed away, the citizen used his licensed firearm to open fire on the muggers.
