KARACHI: Following the directives of the provincial Minister for Education, the Sindh Teachers Helpline has officially commenced operations. The initiative aims to provide direct guidance and support to the teaching community across the province.
Inaugural Session Highlights
The first session was marked by the presence of Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and STEDA Board Member, Tanzila Umi Habiba, who personally attended to phone calls and addressed queries from educators. She was joined by the Executive Director of STEDA, Rasul Bux Shah, along with other senior officials. During the opening session, which was held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a total of 25 phone calls were received and processed.
Purpose and Scope
The dedicated helpline serves as a primary resource for teachers to seek information regarding Teacher Education, professional development, teaching licenses, and various training programs initiated by the department. This platform is specifically designed to bridge the gap between the administration and the educators.
Commitment to Resolution
Speaking on the occasion, MPA Tanzila Umi Habiba emphasized that every call, suggestion, and grievance shared by the teachers has been formally recorded. She assured that these inputs would be integrated into the official proceedings to ensure timely action and policy improvements for the betterment of the education sector.
