KARACHI – In a unique case of street crime, Karachi Police has apprehended a suspect who allegedly used the guise of a pizza delivery rider to steal motorcycles across the city. According to SSP Central, Tariq Mastoi, the suspect has been identified as Shahroz Hussain. The arrest was made possible through the use of CCTV footage, which captured the suspect’s activities while he was disguised as a delivery boy.
Investigations revealed that the suspect used his delivery person persona to blend into residential areas without raising suspicion. Police have successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle seen in the viral footage. A formal case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to track more thefts linked to him.
In a separate operation in the Defense (DHA) area, police dismantled a portion of a notorious four-member criminal gang specialized in targeting women and motorists. The gang recently made headlines for an attempted robbery near 26th Street. After failing to intercept a car, they snatched a motorcycle from another citizen nearby to flee the scene. Two male members of the gang were caught using CCTV tracking, while police are actively searching for the remaining two members, which includes a female accomplice used to deflect suspicion during robberies.
